Scott Frost and his coaching staff have injected a tremendous amount of energy and enthusiasm into Nebraska’s recruiting efforts, and all that hard work is paying serious dividends, as the Huskers continue to climb the national recruiting rankings with just 15 Days Until National Signing Day on Wednesday, February 7th.
The 2018 Big Ten composite recruiting rankings compiled by 247Sports have the Huskers slotted as the #1 ranked recruiting class in the Big Ten West division. Nebraska’s recruiting class is ranked #24 nationally (up from #31 last week) and 5th in the Big Ten.
The four Big Ten teams ranked over the Huskers have some of the strongest classes in the country. Ohio State (#2) and Penn State (#4) both have Top Five classes, putting the Buckeyes and Nittany Lions in elite company with three of college football’s blue-blood programs: Georgia (#1), Texas (#3) and Alabama (#5).
Jim Harbaugh and the Wolverines have a strong showing, with Michigan’s class ranked at #14 nationally. Maryland is definitely one of the surprises of 2018 recruiting year, as the Terrapins boast the nation’s #21 ranking with a class featuring three 4-star and twenty 3-star players.
